About me

I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Energy and Artificial Intelligence at the UCL Energy Institute, within the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources. My research combines machine learning and economics to understand the dynamics of electricity markets, with a focus on asset flexibility and market competitiveness. My work has explored how conventional power plants have adapted their operation to more volatile, high-renewables electricity systems, and has led to fruitful collaborations with over ten researchers from different institutions.

I completed my PhD at the Hertie School in Berlin (2026), where I was supervised by Lynn Kaack, Priya Donti and Lion Hirth, and I was a visiting researcher at MIT. I have also held industry roles at a major energy utility and in energy consultancy, and I remain committed to research that informs practice. I co-organise the Strommarkttreffen, which connects energy researchers and practitioners in Berlin. My academic background spans economics and computer science (Bocconi University) and applied mathematics (TU Berlin).
